Retro cigarette box from the 1940s, carved wood. The box has a mechanical cigarette dispenser in the shape of a bird sitting on a wheel. When the knob in the back of the box is pushed forward with a finger, the bird dips down and catches a single cigarette in its beak from a protruding small drawer. All elements of the box are beautifully carved. The box is in a very good vintage condition, with the wood still retaining its deep color and texture. Please note that the back of the box is slightly tilted from use - see the last picture. Please note that the cigarettes are shown for demonstration purposes only.
