Captivating antique portrait of a young lady. Oil on linen canvas. Typical Victorian dark colors are still vibrant and beautifully set in a golden frame. The painting is in excellent antique condition, having been carefully preserved. It is unsigned but we estimate that it was created in the 19th century in Italy. We believe that the old linen canvas was bonded to a newer canvas, to extend the life of the painting. It is framed in an old heavily gilded wooden frame. Please note that the frame has been partially restored.
