The craft of the legendary Italian pottery is on display in this beautiful pair of ceramic statues by Saca. Beautiful vivid Majolica colors. Please note that one of the sculptures has a line at the bottom - this is not a crack but a pottery mark that sometimes appear in the process of pottery-making. A specialty of Spanish and Italian potters, majolica pottery has been a treasured type of glazed ceramics for many generations. Beloved for its rich colors and vibrant patterns, it has a history that dates back to the Renaissance. Majolica technique was first perfected in the 15th century in the Italian studios at Faenza almost simultaneously as it was mastered by Spanish sculptors.
