Beautiful vintage set of glazed ceramic chawan tea bowls made in Kyoto kilns - the legendary center of pottery and ceramics. These chawans, which means 'bowls' in Japanese, are made in traditional earthy colors of light gray and dark chocolate brown, with off-white elements. They are in excellent vintage condition, no cracks or chips. These tea bowls are great examples of Japanese minimalism. They were brought from Japan in mid 20th century.
